Along with two other important events during a student’s years at IU—the annual IU Bloomington Honors Convocation and Commencement—it is a celebration of academic aspirations and success. Honors Convocation

Indiana University confers upon its most academically distinguished undergraduates the designation of Founders Scholar. These students are honored at an annual event, the IU Bloomington Honors Convocation. The Honors Convocation is one of the traditional activities that mark Founders Day, the annual celebration of IU’s founding in 1820. The 2018 Honors Convocation will be held on Sunday, April 15, at 2 p.m. in the IU Auditorium.
