Honors Convocation

Indiana University confers upon its most academically distinguished undergraduates the designation of Founders Scholar. These students are honored at an annual event, the IU Bloomington Honors Convocation.  The Honors Convocation will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the IU Auditorium.

Dedication of the Republic Building as the Home of IU’s New Architecture Program

Join us on Thursday, January 31, 6 p.m., to help us dedicate the historic Columbus Republic Building as the home of the new Indiana University J. Irwin Miller Architecture Program in IU’s School of Art, Architecture, and Design. The ceremony will be held in the renovated building, which once housed the Columbus newspaper’s headquarters, 333 Second Street in Columbus.

Freshman Induction

Freshman Induction is a key component of the first day of Welcome Week. Along with two other important events during a student’s years at IU—the annual IU Bloomington Honors Convocation and Commencement—it is a celebration of academic aspirations and success. The 2019–20 Freshman Induction ceremony will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2019.
