Ordering before the deadline

IU Bloomington is pleased to provide faculty and staff members with academic regalia for Honors Convocation. There is no charge.

Faculty who request apparel by the deadline will receive:

• A black gown
• A hood reflecting the faculty or staff member’s highest degree and the institution from which he or she received it
• An adjustable tam and the appropriate tassel

Ordering after the deadline

Faculty and staff members requesting loaner apparel after that deadline will receive:

• A black gown
• An IU hood
• An adjustable mortarboard
• A tassel

Colored gowns

In either case, only black gowns and adjustable caps are available from Indiana University Bloomington. Faculty and staff members who graduated from a college or university that uses colored gowns must contact that institution directly to inquire about renting or purchasing one.
