Review University Policies and Guidelines
Prior to submitting your event request, it is crucial to familiarize yourself with Indiana University's event-related policies and guidelines. These documents are accessible through the Event Resources tab and provide a framework for ensuring that your event complies with all relevant regulations and standards.
Request Forms
- Submit Your Space Reservation: Begin by submitting a space reservation request for your event. This will temporarily hold the requested venue while your event is under review.
University Event Registration Form (UERC): Once your space reservation is submitted, you must complete the UERC to formally register your event with the University.
Timeliness of Submission
We strongly encourage submitting event requests well in advance to allow ample time for processing and coordination with relevant campus departments. Please note that all event requests must be submitted at least 10 days prior to the proposed event date to be eligible for approval. Requests submitted after this window will not be processed.
Approval Process
After submission, your event will be reviewed to ensure compliance with University requirements. Depending on the nature and scope of the event, additional coordination with departments such as facilities or public safety may be necessary. Once your event has been fully approved, you will be notified, and you may proceed with finalizing your plans.
