Trustee and Grand Marshal on stage at Honors Convocation

Details for the Big Day

We look forward to congratulating Founders Scholars in person at the 2017 Honors Convocation at Indiana University Bloomington, which will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, and last about 90 minutes. Founders Scholars and their guests are advised to arrive early. The IU Auditorium opens at 1 p.m., and we suggest arriving no later than 1:45 p.m. Please allow enough time for parking, making your way to the Auditorium, and being seated in the appropriate section.

There are no tickets, and seating is open, though Founders Scholars are seated separately from their guests.

As students and their guests arrive at the IU Auditorium, ushers will direct students to school sections and friends and family to audience seating. Each school's seating location will be marked by a red-and-gold banner.

If You're a Senior . . .

Seniors will be asked to fill out name cards, which they will present to a reader who will introduce them as they cross the stage.

During the ceremony, all students will be personally congratulated by Provost Robel and the deans and representatives of the schools.

Join Us at the Reception Afterwards

At the conclusion of the Honors Convocation, students and their guests are invited to socialize with their deans, colleagues, and friends at an informal reception at the IU Auditorium. Details will be announced at the convocation.
